Glenn Beck “Concludes” Global Warming Science Is Wrong

FOX’s Glenn Beck “Concludes” Global Warming Science Is Wrong – 10/30/09 – Christopher Monckton Is Interviewed

  1. Richardgwm said on October 31st, 2009 at 2:36 pm

Who is this loser? And why should Al Gore give him the time of day?

  2. moveoncitizen said on October 31st, 2009 at 3:23 pm

and we should care about your opinion why exactly? Gore is the head criminal in this FRAUD

Ad hominem is what the last 5 comments are all about – attack the man because the message is hurting the CO2 causes warming SCAM.

  3. moveoncitizen said on October 31st, 2009 at 3:29 pm

You are right – temperature rises, then 800 YEARS LATER CO2 rises not the other way around.

As to your earlier claim – proof of warming is NOT proof that CO2 did it.

Cold makes for droughts. Hurricanes have not increased in intensity or number. Arctic ice has recovered at a record rate in the two years since a freak WIND pattern cut into it. Antarctic ice cover has increased steadily for 30 years of satellite measurement – check out the science.

  4. moveoncitizen said on October 31st, 2009 at 3:33 pm

“glaciers to melt more throughly” leading to “That’s putting more ice into the oceans”

    Riiiight.

  5. moveoncitizen said on October 31st, 2009 at 3:44 pm

Looks like they wasted their time. The level of ignorance displayed in comments is overwhelming. The way someone looks or the platform they use is much more important than the message they carry

There is ZERO SCIENCE that “proves” that CO2 caused the tiny, tiny warming at the end of the last century.

But we must all bend over and let CO2 (the gas of life itself) be labelled a pollutant and we must be taxed for its production

Proof of warming is NOT proof that CO2 did it

    You willing slaves

  6. Richardgwm said on October 31st, 2009 at 3:44 pm

Precisely! I am no one. I have no authority. You should not listen to me.

Just like this moron on Beck’s show. He is a nobody. He has no authority. We should not listen to him.

Listen to the scientists. They are the authorities. The scientists are unanimous. We are facing disaster.

  7. moveoncitizen said on October 31st, 2009 at 3:51 pm

If you think the scientists are unanimous you need to speak with some real ones on climaterealists . com or wattsupwiththat . com or check Senator Inhofe’s list of over 700 eminent scientists who think its junk.

Oh, you mean climate scientists are unanimous – hands up everyone who thinks CO2 is innocent and we should all seek alternative employment ….. anyone?
The only PhD in UK parliament was the only MP to speak up, and get stifled, when they passed a climate bill while it snowed outside

  8. Richardgwm said on October 31st, 2009 at 3:56 pm

Dude, I deal with real scientists every day in my work.

They are unanimous, and they tell me the scientific literature is unanimous. There is no debate here. Just because the oil companies can find someone to put up a website for them does not mean the issue is unresolved.

There are a few things on which the science is settled: gravity, evolution, and climate change.

  9. moveoncitizen said on October 31st, 2009 at 4:15 pm

    Google this-

“AAPG Bulletin Advances in Global Change Research Advances in Space Research”

to get a list of 450 peer reviewed papers thta already disagree – shame there is no money in it.

Yes I have been studying this scam for years

  10. moveoncitizen said on October 31st, 2009 at 4:18 pm

yeah – studied it well didn’t you

your nik tells me something too

  11. moveoncitizen said on October 31st, 2009 at 4:22 pm

    Google

“AAPG Bulletin Advances in Global Change Research Advances in Space Research”

First result is 450 peer reviewed papers that disagree

When glaciers melt they don’t just slowly get smaller, they weaken and break off in pieces at points that are too weak to hold.

The “throughly” was probably a poor word choice to convey that the glaciers aren’t properly reforming in the cold seasons and are breaking off more quickly in the warm seasons. Throughly was meant to convey that the glaciers are getting smaller relative to their seasonal cycle.

    Three jackasses in a row.

  14. Lizzie12348 said on October 31st, 2009 at 7:01 pm

Hurricanes have not increased in intensity? Tell that to someone from New Orleans. And no, arctic ice is not recovering, its rapidly disappearing, there have been multiple news stories about this. And the fact that the hottest years on record have been within the past 20 years, which is also when we have had the highest concentration of atmospheric CO2, speaks for itself. Scientists across the world agree: the climate is changing, and its our fault. Hard to hear, but its the truth.

  15. Lizzie12348 said on October 31st, 2009 at 7:08 pm

Oh, and about Antarctica, google this: Larsen B ice shelf.

  16. HazzaPiddy said on October 31st, 2009 at 8:07 pm

The facts remains that Antarctica is getting colder and the amount of sea ice around the continent is at the biggest levels since we started measuring ice extent and ice area accurately . You may not like these facts because they donot suit your prejudices but they remain facts

  17. HazzaPiddy said on October 31st, 2009 at 8:12 pm

Scientists agree that the climate changes constantly. They do not agree that recent change is unprecedented or that it is caused by CO2. In addition we only have temperature measurements since 1850 and they suggest that the hottest year on record was 70 years ago. The hottest year in recent times was 1998, if the climate is in a runaway warming mode why is it still cooler 11 years later?

  18. tomhaley52 said on October 31st, 2009 at 8:16 pm

Sorry Lizzie, More Antartic ice, there was very little melting this year, Larsen B was hype. I lived an hour from the French Quarter, anybody that says they didn’t know that a bad hurricane would decimate New Orleans is lying or can’t read. Look up Galveston Hurricane and that happened in 1900. Look up Hurricane Andrew. It’s like San Francisco today, the locals know another earthquake will happen. But they pretend like it won’t. And when it does they will scream that nobody told them.

  19. Tyler1337Admin said on October 31st, 2009 at 10:18 pm

Please. Even water wouldn’t demean itself with touching them. More like isolation and bringing in the shark populations.

  20. Tyler1337Admin said on October 31st, 2009 at 10:20 pm

Wow. Only 450? Do you know how many people there are in the world? Do you know how many scientists there are, making papers almost constantly?

    Hundreds. Thousands. MILLIONS.

Four hundred and fifty is barely a molecule in comparison of the truth. Take your paranoia somewhere else.

  21. muratshawn said on October 31st, 2009 at 11:20 pm

Now while you listen to Glenn, and about his uneducated thoughts about global warming….just keep in mind, thats the man who is also a mormon lol. . . .
    now enjoy

  22. distorsionjaac said on November 1st, 2009 at 12:16 am

    haha… True!

  23. AnachronicDoctrine said on November 1st, 2009 at 2:42 pm

Temperature is cyclical in complex way, but, despite this it is possible to ask if the underlying trend is changing. Much of the dissenting opinion discredits itself through conflicted funding, publishing in much less reputable journals and so forth. Scientists aren’t all equal and we must be careful about whom we quote and what we accept. This is a critical part of science. As most of us don’t have the expertise it’s best to leave the debate to the scientists themselves.

  24. slivercord said on November 1st, 2009 at 6:18 pm

    what a nutcase…global warming is happening..you fucking idiot…

  25. Lizzie12348 said on November 1st, 2009 at 10:38 pm

Larsen B was hype? IT FELL OFF!!! So did Larsen A in 95, and Larsen C is expected to disintegrate in the next decade due to climate change.
And the NOAA says that since the 1970s, hurricane intensity has increased as atlantic sea surface temperatures have.
